Kano-based politician and APC governorship aspirant AbdulAziz Omeiza Aliyu, along with his younger brother, lost their lives in a road crash at Jere town along the Kaduna-Abuja federal highway, Vanguard reports.
Abubakar Aliyu, spokesperson for the family of the victims, said the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while the brothers were returning fro Abuja.
According to him, none of the passengers involved survived the accident and were given a mass burial at a location in Jere town.
Father of the deceased, Alhaji Momohjimoh Aliyu, said that he has accepted the tragic event as an "act of God".
The man has appealed to supporters of his son to not move on with life, stating that "Allah has done what is best.".
