The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has denied that seven of its governors are planning to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Leadership.
The party described the allegation as baseless and one of the lies being peddled by the APC.
The party was reacting to a statement credited to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, alleging that seven PDP governors were set to defect to the APC. Read related post here Seven PDP members planned to join APC

Olisa Metuh, PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, said all the PDP governors remain loyal to the party and the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan.
He said the PDP is confident that it would defeat the APC with a wide margin in the forthcoming elections.
