A MAN KILLS HIS FRIEND OVER DRUG

A 25-year-old man, John Dyer, has been charged for murdering his close friend, Stephen Bennet, 28, in September last year, in a cocaine-induced attack by stabbing him in the back with a kitchen knife, reports Mirror.
Though Dyer who fled the scene after the killing, said he acted in self defence, prosecutors said he repeatedly stabbed his unarmed victim, before telling witnesses “I’m not a
****”, and speeding away in his car.
Dyer then changed his blood-stained clothes, which were bundled together with the eight-inch knife and put in a neighbour’s garden, and fled his home.
Prosecuting council, Ian Unsworth, told Liverpool Crown Court:
"One man armed with a large kitchen knife thrust it into the body of another man.
He did so deliberately and did so repeatedly. As his victim lay fighting for his life, the knife man simply drove away.
The blade twice entered his chest, significantly damaging his lungs. He also suffered a wound near his left armpit, to his left arm, elbow, buttock and to both of his hands.
It was a life cut short and one cut short in horrific circumstances."
